Design
This phase includes sketching, rendering, and sometimes prototyping your idea so that we can visualize what we want the final result to look like.
Patternmaking
Once a final design is decided on, we can make a pattern to use for cutting and sewing the garment/product.
Manufacturing
Once we have a pattern, we can begin cutting and sewing samples or small batches of your product.

Banawa & Co is a high end fashion development house and sewn goods manufacturer providing end to end services from conception to small batch production for brands and individuals that align with our values. We offer consultation, design, pattern making, prototyping, sample construction and small production runs.
Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Costume Design and the knowledge and experience working as a Technical Costume Designer / Patternmaker for the Walt Disney Company, our founder Lauren brings unique and creative ideas from concept to real-life wearable art that is as stunning as it is comfortable to wear.
Our mission is to bring the Textile Industry back to East TN to support locally sourced/made goods from farm to finished product. By investing in our creative community, we pave the way for high value textile careers in East TN.

1. How long do each of your services take?
Timeline depends on how many projects we are currently working on, and how complex your design is. We can discuss estimates during your first and following consultations. If you have a deadline, please let us know in the Client Intake Form and we can determine if the timeline is realistic or not.
2. What is your return policy for production runs?
We generally do not accept returns since we ensure that every step is approved along the way. However, if the result of a production run is functionally wrong or not up to our quality standards, we are happy to work to find a solution together!
3. How can I reach out for help with design, development, and/or small batch production?
You can start by filling out the Client Intake Form. We can start the conversation from there :) Feel free to message us through instagram as well if that's easier! The client intake form helps gives us an overview of your project details so we can have context before starting consultation.
